ABOUT THE Lower SCHOOL PROGRAM
The focus in Kindergarten through 4th Grade is to provide our students with a quality academic program where they are challenged to reach their potential in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment. TCS's proven reading, math and writing programs help students to develop a strong academic foundation; and our Religion, Social Emotional Literacy and Service Learning Programs instill character, values, empathy and social awareness and activity. Working closely with our full-time guidance counselor, TCS teachers foster the development of Cooperation, Accountability, Respect, Empathy and Spiritual Growth as they encourage and nurture self-esteem, selflessness and service. TCS C.A.R.E.S.!
Our student body is wonderfully diverse and currently comes from 14 different school districts. The Chapel School fills a need for a private/parochial school alternative in Southern Westchester, and we are proud of our recent distinction as Westchester Magazine's Best Private School in Westchester.
